What additional costs await you when buying an apartment?

The good news is that they are not as high as in most European countries. Prices for different services are constantly changing, so we will not give exact numbers.

- Tax on the purchase of real estate (it is also called the TAPU tax). It is 4% of the cadastral value of the property(as a rule, it is much lower than the market value).

- Expert assessment of real estate - since 2019. This procedure is mandatory when buying even a secondary property.

- State duties for TAPU and translation services (his presence is mandatory for transactions with foreigners)

- Obtaining an iskan (only for primary property - new buildings). Iskan is a commissioning permit, without it it is impossible to connect to water and electricity.

- Earthquake and natural disaster insurance - DASK. Alanya has the lowest risk of earthquakes, which is why insurance is cheaper than in other regions of Turkey.

- Connection of meters for water and electricity.

On average, the cost of decorating a  1+1  apartment is from 2000 euros.
